Often queried for being too modest, Mark clearly has a penchant for detail and exudes creative talent that extends beyond his camera mastery. Mark is comfortable with a range of mediums and formats. He is particularly proficient at still shoots where subjects are people, product or vignettes. Mark's aptitude for staging, as well as putting people at ease, is one of his greatest traits. With nearly three decades of experience photographing Brides and Grooms, Mark still feels the passion and excitement of documenting a couple's most special day. Mark uses high-resolution digital equipment, as well as medium format Hasselblad cameras when required. He has worked as a photojournalist for major newspapers and magazines, with major advertising agencies on corporate accounts and on special assignment for corporate clients. His images have been published in numerous print media, including: Rangefinder, National Post, WPPI Show Guide, Canadian Tire Auto Route, Style at Home Canada's Decorating Magazine, in the Kawarthas MAGAZINE, Network Canada (Canadian Mental Health Association), Magazine Salon and most recently featured in Professional Photographer January 2007. Mark has been the principal photographer on contract shoots in the United States, France, England, Cuba, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and several locations throughout Canada. Mark has photographed NASCAR legend Richard Petty for STP. He has captured the passion and excitement generated by musical celebrities such as Al Jarreau and Sheila E (for Evolution Entertainment Group). He has even sipped champagne from the Stanley Cup, after photographing it, of course, for New York Ranger Jeff Beukeboom. While "those jobs are the icing on the cake for many photographers, my next assignment is just as exhilarating and gets my creativity pumping", commented Mark. Mark resides in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada with "the love of his life " Chantal and three sons...Tom, Isaac and Liam. Mark is currently training Chantal to take pictures and become his second set of eyes. He needs the odd day off to sip vintage Shiraz and smoke big fat Cuban cigars.
